“The Crusades may have introduced Europeans to the Muslim hygienic practice of washing with soap.”  p.671 My world History (Early Ages)

Notice the word “may” in this despicable sentence. What is this, a history class or a philosophy class? Oh, excuse me, that’s right, this is an Islamic religion class based on the promotion of Islam over every other culture. And again, referring to this despicable sentence, let’s examine the word “hygienic.”  The practice of ritual washing was not instituted in Islam for hygienic purposes, and even when practiced religiously had as a result limited affect on disease control. This entire section of the textbook titled “Cultural Exchange” is designed to establish the standard that Europeans were dirty barbarians, and Muslims were intelligent and clean as the white driven snow.
