We hear it from the Pope; we hear it from Obama’s immigration chief. Jesus was a refugee. If that is true, then we should treat the Syrian Muslim refugees according to the refugee life of Jesus.

But let’s look at the facts.

As an infant, Jesus left Bethlehem with Mary and Joseph and fled to Egypt to escape King Herod who wanted to kill him because Herod did not want anyone else called “King of the Jews,” except him. Jesus was less than two years old at the time.

“Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way. Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”” Matthew 2:12, 13, NKJV. “But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, and go to the land of Israel, for those who sought the young Child’s life are dead.”” Matthew 2:19, 20, NKJV.

Jesus, Joseph and Mary stayed in Egypt less than two years until Herod died. They then returned to their native home Nazareth. Once Jesus returned to Nazareth, He was back in his own country again and no longer a refugee.

So, Jesus (under four years old) was a refugee for maybe two years at the most. That made Him briefly a refugee, and then He went back home.

IF JESUS IS THE MODEL THAT OBAMA WANTS US TO FOLLOW. THEN, SEND THE ENTIRE MUSLIM REFUGEE POPULATION BACK IN TWO YEARS.

AMERICA COULD LIVE WITH THAT.

But we know that the Muslim refugees are here to stay because they are all part of Obama’s plan to fundamentally transform America.
